Uses of Evaparin Pen

  • Treat and prevent blood clots.

Introduction to Evaparin Pen

Evaparin Pen is a prefilled low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) anticoagulant drug containing the active ingredient Enoxaparin. It is used to treat severe blood clots. This medicine is used for various purposes, including preventing deep vein thrombosis (DVT) after surgeries like abdominal, hip, and knee replacements and for patients with limited mobility during illness. It’s also used for inpatient and outpatient treatment of acute DVT and to prevent blog clots in unstable angina and non-Q-wave myocardial infarction. Additionally, it’s utilized for treating acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction, whether managed medically or with percutaneous coronary intervention. Also, it prevents clot formation within dialysis machine tubes, which is particularly beneficial for individuals with significant kidney issues.

Do not take Evaparin Pen if you are allergic to Enoxaparin, nadroparin, tinzaparin, dalteparin, benzyl alcohol, pork products, or its ingredients. Do not take this medicine if you have experienced a severe drop in clotting cells due to heparin within the last 100 days or have antibodies against the medicine. Avoid using if you are bleeding heavily or at high risk of bleeding from stomach ulcers or recent brain or eye surgery,  including bleeding stroke. Do not use this medicine for blood clot treatment if you are going to receive spinal or epidural anesthesia or lumbar puncture within 24 hours. Your healthcare provider will regularly monitor you for signs of bleeding. Inform your healthcare practitioner if you are diagnosed with kidney problems.

Before using the Evaparin Pen, inform your doctor if you experience any severe platelet drop due to heparin, have a heart valve or endocarditis, or have a history of gastric ulcer, recent stroke, high blood pressure, or diabetes with related eye vessel issues. Notify your doctor if you recently had eye or brain surgery, are elderly (65+), have kidney or liver problems, are under or overweight, or have elevated potassium levels. If you’re using medicines affecting bleeding, seek guidance before use. The safety and effectiveness of enoxaparin haven’t been studied in children or teenagers.

Therapeutic Effects of Evaparin Pen

Evaparin Pen binds to the antithrombin to form a complex. Antithrombin is a protein that blocks the formation of abnormal blood clots. This drug mainly prevents the activation of factor Xa, eventually preventing clot formation.
